Trading Suspension Continues for Three Companies on Pakistan Stock Exchange

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced the continued suspension of trading for three companies due to unresolved compliance issues, effective as of April 27, 2025.

The decision follows a prior notice, PSX/N-213 dated February 25, 2025, and affects Al-Mal Securities & Services Limited, First Investec Modaraba, and Usman Textile Mills Limited. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these companies have failed to address key regulatory defaults, including the failure to hold Annual General Meetings, submit annual audited accounts, pay dues to the Exchange, induct Ordinary Shares into the Central Depository System (CDS), and are facing winding-up petitions filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in court.

The Pakistan Stock Exchange's action will keep the trading suspension in place until the companies rectify their compliance issues or for an additional period of 60 days. This move is in accordance with the powers granted under Sub-Section (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, and clause 5.11 of PSX Regulations.

The designated market category for these companies remains impacted by the ongoing suspension, highlighting the importance of regulatory adherence in maintaining trading activities on the exchange.
