Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced the continuation of the suspension of trading in the shares of M/s. Business & Industrial Insurance Company Limited. The decision, reported on September 25, 2026, is a result of the company's persistent non-compliance with specific regulatory requirements.
The original suspension notice, PSX/N-942, was issued on July 28, 2026. M/s. Business & Industrial Insurance Company Limited has yet to address the causes leading to the suspension, which include the failure to hold Annual General Meetings, the failure to submit audited annual accounts, non-payment of dues to the exchange, and the initiation of winding-up proceedings by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the trading suspension will continue until the company rectifies these issues or for an additional 60 days starting September 28, 2026. The decision is made under the authority granted by Sub-Section (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, and clause 5.11 of the PSX Regulations.
The designated market category for M/s. Business & Industrial Insurance Company Limited remains unchanged as the company works to resolve its regulatory deficiencies.
