Karachi: Tri-Pack Films Limited, a prominent player in the packaging industry, released its financial results for the nine months and quarter ended September 30, 2026. The company reported a noticeable decline in quarterly revenue, which impacted its financial performance during the period.
On October 20, 2026, the company disclosed its condensed interim statement of financial position. It showed total assets amounting to 34.93 billion rupees, up from 33.45 billion rupees as of December 31, 2025. The increase in assets was driven by a rise in current assets, notably inventories, which climbed to 6.69 billion rupees from 4.85 billion rupees. Trade receivables also increased to 3.89 billion rupees, compared to 3.49 billion rupees at the end of last year.
Equity for the period stood at 5.11 billion rupees, up from 4.77 billion rupees at the end of 2025. This improvement was largely due to a rise in unappropriated profit, which reached 2.11 billion rupees from 1.78 billion rupees. However, the company reported a minor move in its profit margin for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, with a loss of 22,189,000 rupees compared to a profit of 95,318,000 rupees in the same quarter of the previous year.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company’s revenue from contracts with customers for the quarter fell to 7.61 billion rupees, a significant move from 8.77 billion rupees in the same period of 2025. For the nine months, however, revenue increased to 24.89 billion rupees from 23.28 billion rupees in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Despite the quarterly revenue drop, the company achieved a profit turnaround for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, with a profit of 339.44 million rupees compared to a loss of 372.89 million rupees in the same period last year. The improvement was attributed to a rise in gross profit, which increased to 4.19 billion rupees from 3.21 billion rupees in the previous year.
The financial report also highlighted a rise in distribution costs and administrative expenses, which climbed to 1.06 billion rupees and 837.31 million rupees respectively for the nine-month period. The finance cost net, a significant factor, decreased to 1.91 billion rupees from 2.05 billion rupees in the previous year, contributing to the positive profit outcome.
Tri-Pack Films Limited’s financial results reflect challenges in maintaining revenue growth amid rising expenses. The company’s management remains focused on addressing these challenges while leveraging its asset base and market position for future growth.
