United Bank Limited Announces Second Interim Cash Dividend for 2025

Karachi: United Bank Limited has announced the disbursement of its second interim cash dividend for the year 2025, marking a significant development for its shareholders. The Board of Directors declared a dividend of Rs.8 per share, equating to 160%, which was approved in a meeting on July 11, 2025. The dividend has been credited directly into the bank accounts of shareholders who have provided the requisite information.

However, the bank has withheld the dividend for those shareholders who have not submitted valid Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC) or passport numbers, along with complete bank account details, as required under the Companies (Distribution of Dividends) Regulations, 2017, and Section 242 (3) of the Companies Act, 2017. Shareholders are urged to furnish these details to ensure the distribution of their dividends.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Ltd (CDC) has introduced an eService web portal. This platform enables shareholders to access information regarding cash dividends paid, Zakat/tax deducted, and any unpaid or withheld dividends by listed companies. The Centralized Cash Dividend Register (CCDR) on the portal aids in maintaining a comprehensive history of dividends distributed to shareholders by listed entities.

Shareholders are encouraged to register for access to the CCDR via the eService portal to utilize these facilities. Those who have not yet provided their CNICs and bank account details are advised to do so promptly. For book-entry securities, updates should be made through CDS Participants, and for physical securities, information should be sent to the Share Registrar and Transfer Agent of the bank, M/s. THK Associates (Pvt.) Limited, Karachi.

In instances where shareholders have not received the dividend, they are advised to contact the Share Registrar with a written request, including their Folio or CDC Account Number, to resolve the issue.
