The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) referred the matter to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) through a letter dated August 25, 2026. Following this referral, the FIA Corporate Crime Circle in Karachi registered FIR No. FIR-CCC-KHI-15/26 on August 29, 2026. The FIR has been filed under various sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860, including Sections 406, 420, 477-A, 109, and 34, targeting specific individuals associated with Unity Foods and its subsidiary.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the allegations in the FIR are related to matters currently under regulatory referral by the SECP. These allegations focus on the personal actions of the individuals named in the report and do not represent confirmed facts or legal judgments. The company emphasized that these claims are unproven and have not been subjected to legal scrutiny.
Unity Foods Limited clarified that it is a separate legal entity from its officers and directors and is not named as an accused party in the FIR.
