Karachi: Unity Foods Limited has recently disclosed significant share transactions executed by Amir Shehzad, a non-executive director, marking a considerable activity within the company's stock dealings. The transactions, as stipulated in the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) regulations, were made public on August 18, 2025.
On August 12, 2025, Amir Shehzad sold 464,339 shares in the ready market at a rate of 29.18 per share. This transaction resulted in a cumulative holding of 1,485,761 shares, representing a minor move in terms of percentage change. Additionally, on the same day, Shehzad executed another sale of 991,500 shares in the future market at a rate of 30.61 per share, reducing his cumulative holding to 494,261 shares—a moderate move.
Following these transactions, on August 13, 2025, Shehzad further reduced his holdings by selling 493,661 shares in the ready market, resulting in a complete divestment of his shares in this category. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this final transaction marked a very large or significant move in terms of the percentage change.
These transactions will be formally presented by the company secretary at the upcoming Board of Directors meeting, as required by PSX regulations. The company is also required to update the details in the UIN Management System immediately.
In compliance with the Securities Act of 2015, it is mandatory to ensure that the holding period for such transactions exceeds six months. If not, any profit must be deposited with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), with notification to the PSX.
