Universal Insurance Company Reports Financial Results for Mid-2025, Declares Cash Dividend

Rawalpindi: The Universal Insurance Company Limited has announced its financial results for the period ending June 30, 2025, during a board meeting held on August 28, 2025. The company declared a cash dividend while deciding against issuing bonus or right shares.

The company’s financial position as of June 30, 2025, indicated total assets amounting to 856.47 million, up from 851.44 million in December 2024. The company’s property and equipment were valued at 148.53 million, with no change in investment property, maintaining a value of 47.27 million. Investments in equity securities rose to 369.01 million, and debt securities increased slightly to 59.18 million. Loans and other receivables saw a reduction, standing at 33.42 million, while insurance/reinsurance receivables increased to 64.49 million. Cash and bank balances showed a significant rise to 84.21 million compared to the previous 61.52 million.

The company’s equity, attributable to its shareholders, rose to 695.23 million from 668.89 million at the end of December 2024. This increase was primarily driven by unappropriated profit, which surged to 36.78 million from 9.37 million. The fair value reserve on available-for-sale investments declined, now at 0.27 million, while surplus on the revaluation of fixed assets saw a slight decrease.

On the liabilities side, outstanding claims, including IBNR, decreased significantly to 69.82 million. Unearned premium reserves and premium deficiency reserves also saw notable declines, while insurance/reinsurance payables increased to 76.56 million.
