Unusual Trading Volume Observed in Sitara Energy Limited Shares

Karachi: Sitara Energy Limited (“SEL”) has come under scrutiny following an unusual surge in the trading volume of its shares, as reported by the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). This observation has prompted regulatory compliance measures under Section 97 of the Securities Act, 2015, and clause 5.6.3 of PSX Regulations.

The PSX noted the significant change in volume, which triggered a requirement for SEL to either disclose any pertinent developments that might explain this movement or confirm the absence of such factors. This obligation is in line with the PSX Regulation 5.6.1, mandating listed companies to promptly share any material or price-sensitive information with the public.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the observed activity in SEL shares necessitated the company’s response to ensure transparency and maintain market integrity. As per regulatory demands, SEL is expected to submit any relevant information through the PSX’s Publicly Unlisted Companies Automated Reporting System (PUCARS) to clarify the situation to the investing public.

The PSX’s vigilance in monitoring trading activities is designed to uphold fair trading practices and protect investors by ensuring they are well-informed about factors influencing stock movements. The unusual activity in SEL’s share volume remains under examination until further disclosures are made.
