Pakistan Oxygen Limited Reports Loss of Share Certificates

Karachi: In a recent filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange, Pakistan Oxygen Limited (PAKOXY) has notified the loss of several share certificates belonging to a deceased shareholder, Bilal A Sattar. The notice, dated October 8, 2024, details the misplacement of certificates representing a significant number of shares across multiple scrips.

According to the notification, the folio number associated with the lost certificates is 15718. The specific scrips affected range from 193290 to 194888, with distinct shares numbered from 25231637 to 58894533. In total, 794 shares have been reported as lost or misplaced.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company has issued an urgent request to its shareholders and the investing public, advising them not to engage in transactions involving these shares. The notice highlights that any dealings with the specified shares are to be avoided until further notice to prevent any potential fraudulent activities.

The certificates in question include shares as follows: 124 shares from scrip 193290, 107 from 193711, 129 from 194120, 193 from 194505, and 241 from 194888. The total adds up to 794 shares, all linked to the deceased shareholder, Mr. Sattar.

Pakistan Oxygen Limited has stipulated a seven-day period for any objections to be raised regarding these certificates. Failing which, duplicate share certificates will be issued to rectify the situation and safeguard the interests of the shareholder's estate.

This incident underscores the critical need for shareholders to maintain secure records of their share certificates to avoid similar complications in the future.
