IGI Holdings Reports Lost Share Certificates in Karachi

Karachi: FAMCO Share Registration Services (Pvt) Ltd. has reported the loss of multiple share certificates belonging to Mr. Yaqoob Habib. The certificates were reported missing on July 15, 2024, from the premises of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Building in Karachi.

Mr. Habib's lost certificates encompass a wide range of numbers and amounts, with the lost shares totaling significant numbers across several distinct certificates. The details of the lost certificates include various numbers like 3303832 to 3303924 with 93 shares, 4446677 to 4446704 with 28 shares, and significantly larger amounts like 103968620 to 103969001 and 133307295 to 133307778, holding 382 and 484 shares respectively.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), FAMCO has taken immediate action by notifying the members of the exchange to refrain from dealing in these certificates. They have issued a warning that if no objections are raised within seven days following the publication of this notice in newspapers, duplicate certificates will be issued to the shareholder.

The exchange and FAMCO urge anyone in possession of information regarding the certificates to come forward to prevent potential fraudulent activities and ensure the integrity of trading activities.
