Karachi: The National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) has successfully completed the first disbursement of rental payments for the Government of Pakistan (GOP) Ijarah Sukuk (GIS) listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the company announced today. The payments were made for both fixed and variable rate Sukuks, with respective maturities set for January 2027 and January 2029.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the disbursement involved four different Sukuks, including a 3 Year Fixed Rental Rate and a 5 Year Fixed Rental Rate, both maturing on 24 January 2027, and similarly structured 3 Year and 5 Year Variable Rental Rate Sukuks with the same maturity dates in January 2027 and January 2029 respectively. This initiative is part of the broader strategy to streamline fiscal instruments and support government financing operations through Islamic financial solutions.
The NCCPL has facilitated this transaction through the National Clearing & Settlement System (NCSS), where Clearing Members can access detailed payment reports. Relevant reports such as the GDS Payment Details and GDS Pay Summary for Clients are available through the GDS menu, providing transparency and ease of verification for all parties involved.
