Karachi: Atlas Pension Islamic Fund has officially activated its Non-Broker Clearing Member account with the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL), allowing direct clearing and settlement for equity transactions in the regular market category under the CM ID 10900, effective from 30-AUG-2024.
This development marks a significant step for the Atlas Pension Islamic Fund – Equity Sub Fund, as it engages in direct transaction clearances through the Institutional Delivery System (IDS) module of the National Clearing and Settlement System (NCSS). According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the activation enables the fund to manage its transactions and associated risks more efficiently, as part of the broader implementation of Financial Institutions' Margining System across the sector.
The implementation underscores the ongoing efforts to enhance the infrastructure supporting financial transactions and risk management within Pakistan's capital markets, ensuring robust mechanisms for institutional participation.
