NCCPL Announces Temporary Suspension of Services Due to NADRA System Upgrade

Karachi: The National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) has issued a notice to all Authorized Intermediaries (AIs) and Clearing Members (CMs) regarding a scheduled system upgrade by NADRA Technologies Limited (NTL). The upgrade is set to occur on September 28, 2024, from 12:30 AM to 01:30 AM, during which NCCPL's Online Account Processing Services and Biometric Verification Services will be temporarily unavailable.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this one-hour maintenance window is necessary for NADRA to enhance its system capabilities. The NCCPL relies on NADRA's systems for crucial services, including biometric verifications that are essential for the processing of transactions and new account openings.

The downtime is expected to impact operations minimally due to its scheduling during off-peak hours, aimed at reducing the inconvenience to users. However, NCCPL advises all concerned parties to plan their activities accordingly to avoid any disruptions during this brief maintenance period.

NCCPL appreciates the understanding of all stakeholders during this system enhancement initiative and is committed to ensuring that service interruptions are kept to a minimum while improvements are implemented.
