Karachi: United Distributors Pakistan Limited has released its financial results for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024. The company reported a significant increase in both revenue and profits, demonstrating strong financial performance despite challenging market conditions.
The company recorded revenue from contracts with customers at Rs. 1.11 billion for 2024, up from Rs. 785.45 million in the previous year, marking a 41.37% increase. Gross profit for the year stood at Rs. 422.93 million, compared to Rs. 283.10 million in 2023, reflecting improved operational efficiency. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's operating profit rose significantly to Rs. 24.67 million in 2024 from a loss of Rs. 113.70 million in 2023.
The earnings per share also saw a positive shift from a loss of Rs. 10.56 last year to a profit of Rs. 10.28 this year. Other comprehensive income, however, showed a loss of Rs. 67.38 million in 2024 compared to a loss of Rs. 112.79 million the previous year. The final figures reveal a net profit of Rs. 362.47 million for 2024, maintaining the profitability trajectory.
The board of directors has recommended a final cash dividend of 40% at Rs. 4 per share for the year. No bonus or right shares were announced. The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for October 28, 2024, and the share transfer books will be closed from October 22 to October 28, 2024, to facilitate this meeting.
