Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited Announces Rs. 3.0 Billion Strategic Expansion

Karachi: Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited has unveiled a substantial capital investment plan of Rs. 3.0 billion, aimed at advancing three strategic projects, as confirmed by the company's Board of Directors during their meeting on September 9, 2026. This decision aligns with the requirements set forth in the Securities Act 2015 and the Rule Book of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited.

The board has sanctioned the establishment of a new Palmitic Acid plant, the expansion of the existing Chlorinated Paraffin Wax (CPW) and Chlorine Liquefaction plants, and the relocation of an oleochemicals plant from Sheikhupura to Hub, Balochistan. These initiatives are expected to consolidate the company's operational capabilities and market presence.

The creation of the Palmitic Acid plant marks Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited's foray into a new business segment. The company anticipates that this move will open avenues for additional products in the animal nutrition sector, specifically targeting milking cows. The expansion of the CPW and chlorine liquefaction plants is a response to the burgeoning demand for CPW following its localization in Pakistan, with expectations of continued growth in the coming years.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the relocation of the oleochemicals plant to Hub is strategically positioned to fortify the company's influence in the southern region. This move is also poised to bolster local demand and enhance export capabilities via sea routes.

These capital investments are projected to yield benefits starting from the fiscal year 2028, as the company seeks to leverage these developments for long-term growth and competitiveness in the market.
