At-Tahur Limited Reports Yearly Financial Performance with Significant Revenue Growth

Karachi: At-Tahur Limited has released its financial statements for the year ended June 30, 2024, showcasing a marked increase in revenue and various operational results. The company reported a total revenue from contracts with customers at PKR 5,845.44 million, up from PKR 4,899.69 million in the previous year.

The financial report highlighted significant gains in the dairy sector, with revenue from the initial recognition of milk at fair value less costs to sell at the time of milking amounting to PKR 3,810.55 million, an increase from last year’s PKR 3,341.98 million. However, gains from changes in the fair value less costs to sell of dairy livestock saw a decrease to PKR 906.45 million from PKR 1,949.18 million in 2023.

Operating costs for the year were reported at PKR 8,155.55 million, up from PKR 7,339.09 million, reflecting the rising costs associated with expanded operations. After accounting for administrative, selling, marketing, and other expenses totaling PKR 1,600.39 million, the profit from operations stood at PKR 832.36 million, down from PKR 1,450.30 million the previous year.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the dairy producer faced increased finance costs and a new levy imposition that impacted its bottom line. The finance cost incurred was PKR 282.54 million, an increase from the previous year's PKR 225.99 million. A new levy cost the company PKR 68.58 million.

The company’s profit before taxation was reported at PKR 481.24 million, a decrease from PKR 1,209.59 million in 2023. After taxation, the profit stood at PKR 353.23 million, significantly lower than last year’s PKR 1,247.78 million. Earnings per share also declined to PKR 1.62 from PKR 5.71.
