Kohinoor Energy to Hold 31st Annual General Meeting in Islamabad

Islamabad: Kohinoor Energy Limited has announced that its 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of shareholders will take place on October 24, 2024, at the Islamabad Club, Main Murree Road. The meeting aims to address key corporate actions and shareholder interests for the financial year ended June 30, 2024.

The agenda for the meeting includes confirming the minutes of the last AGM held on October 25, 2023. Shareholders will also review and adopt the annual audited accounts of the company for the recently concluded financial year, along with the Directors' and Auditors' Reports. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), an integral part of the meeting will involve the ratification of three interim dividends that were distributed during the year—amounting to a total dividend of 145%, which translates to Rs. 14.50 per share. These dividends were issued at rates of 40%, 55%, and 50% respectively.

Furthermore, the AGM will see the appointment of auditors for the ensuing year and the fixing of their remuneration. Another significant item on the agenda is the election of seven directors for a three-year term starting October 30, 2024. The positions will be filled by the directors retiring at the end of their current term, including Mr. M. Naseem Saigol, Mr. Muhammad Zeid Yousuf Saigol, Mr. Muhammad Murad Saigol, Syed Manzar Hassan, Mr. Muhammad Omer Farooq, Ms. Sadaf Kashif, and Mr. Faisal Riaz, as per the board resolution on August 20, 2024.

The meeting will also allocate time for any other business that may arise with the permission of the Chair, ensuring that all shareholder concerns are appropriately addressed.
