Alfalah GHP Funds Exhibit Robust Performance in FY24 Amid Economic Challenges

Karachi: Alfalah GHP Investment Management has reported strong performance across multiple funds for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024, showcasing significant growth and resilience despite challenging market conditions. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), various funds under management experienced remarkable gains, aligning with broader economic recovery initiatives.

The Alfalah Islamic Income Fund stood out with a remarkable 21.13% return, outstripping the benchmark return of 10.10%. The fund also distributed cash dividends of PKR 21.2402 per unit to investors. The fund's asset allocation was heavily weighted towards cash at 38%, with a significant portion in TFCs/Sukuks and government guaranteed securities, reflecting a conservative but effective investment strategy.

In the equity sector, the Alfalah Islamic Stock Fund posted an impressive 93.40% return, far exceeding the 78.70% benchmark. This performance was bolstered by a dividend payout of PKR 32.7589 per unit. The fund's portfolio was overwhelmingly concentrated in equities, comprising 96% of its assets, indicating a strong focus on capital growth through stock market investments.

The Alfalah Islamic Prosperity Planning Fund - Active Allocation Plan II reported the highest return of 54.70% compared to a benchmark of 36.42%, with a significant cash dividend of PKR 49.6636 per unit. This fund's asset allocation was also equity-heavy, with a minor portion allocated to income and money market instruments.

Further, the Alfalah Islamic Stable Return Fund-Plan 2 generated a 24.59% return, with the benchmark at 11.21%, and paid dividends of PKR 2.5 per unit. The fund's assets were mostly placed in cash and government-backed securities, showing a preference for low-risk investments.

The Alfalah Islamic Sovereign Funds also performed well. The Plan-1 generated a 20.65% return against an 19.89% benchmark, while Plan-2 achieved an 18.05% return compared to a 19.63% benchmark, highlighting slight variations in fund strategies and market conditions.

These results underline Alfalah GHP's successful management strategies and its ability to deliver substantial returns to investors, even in a fluctuating economic landscape marked by improvements in macroeconomic indicators and policy adjustments by the central bank aimed at stabilizing and boosting the economy.
