Karachi: A formal notification was issued on October 4, 2024, regarding the loss of share certificates for Pakistan Petroleum Limited. According to Famco Share Registration Services, the registrar for Pakistan Petroleum Limited, a shareholder reported the loss of specific certificates earlier this month. The details of the lost share certificates include two distinctive numbers, 1634494466 and 1634494704, for certificate number 195397 which represents a total of 239 shares.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the notice was directed to the General Manager of the Pakistan Stock Exchange, highlighting the urgency of the matter to avoid potential fraudulent activities with the lost shares. All market participants have been alerted and advised not to deal in these shares until further notice. Famco has requested that if no objections are raised within seven days of the notice's publication in the newspapers, duplicate certificates will be issued to the shareholder, Mr. Nadeem Ahmad of Lahore.
