Lahore: Kohinoor Energy Limited has officially announced the schedule for its upcoming director elections. According to the notice released by the company, the election is set to take place during the Annual General Meeting on October 24, 2024, at Islamabad.

Under the provisions of Section 159(4) of the Companies Act, 2017, the shareholders of Kohinoor Energy have been informed that seven candidates have filed their nominations to contest in the elections. These candidates include Mr. M. Naseem Saigol, Mr. Muhammad Zeid Yousuf Saigol, Mr. Muhammad Murad Saigol, Syed Manzar Hassan, Mr. Muhammad Omer Farooq, Ms. Sadaf Kashif, and Mr. Faisal Riaz.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the election outcome is already predictable as the number of nominees matches the number of director positions available, set earlier by the Board under Section 159(1) of the Companies Act. Consequently, the candidates will automatically assume their roles following the official procedures at the meeting.

The notice specifies that any necessary adjournment of the meeting will be communicated accordingly. The official communication regarding the election has been released by Mr. Khawaja Safee Sultan, the Company Secretary of Kohinoor Energy Limited.
