Karachi: Bela Automotives Limited has announced that its upcoming election of directors, scheduled for October 28, 2024, will proceed with candidates running unopposed. The company's board of directors had set the number of available director positions at seven, which coincides with the number of candidates who have submitted their intention to run, according to notices published in the Daily "Business Recorder" and "Daily Nai Baat" Karachi.

In accordance with Section 159(4) of the Companies Act, 2017, the candidates vying for the director positions at Bela Automotives Limited include Abdul Mateen Allahwala, Omer Mateen Allahwala, Anwar Iqbal, Fazal Kafeel, Farnaz Anwar, Khilat Kafeel, and Sufain Zahid. The election is set to take place at the company's 41st Annual General Meeting of shareholders on October 28, 2024, at Hub Chowki.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the number of candidates aligns with the number of director positions set by the board under Section 159(1) of the Companies Act, 2017. Consequently, all seven candidates will be deemed elected for the next three-year term commencing from October 28, 2024. The announcement follows the company’s previous AGM notice published on October 8, 2024.
