Revised Trading and Settlement Schedule Announced for Nishat Chunian Power Limited Future Contracts

Karachi: It is hereby informed to all market participants that, due to the announcement of book closure date of Nishat Chunian Power Limited, trading and settlement schedule of deliverable future contracts (DFC) for November 2024, December 2024, and January 2025 has been adjusted. The changes affect the cum-benefit and ex-benefit schedules of the DFC-NOV-2024, DFC-DEC-2024, and DFC-JAN-2025 contracts.

The contracts for November, December, and January on a cum-benefit basis will all open on Mondays, specifically the 2nd of September, 30th of September, and 28th of October, respectively, and will close on the 18th of November. The settlement dates for these contracts are set for the 20th of November.

Meanwhile, the contracts on an ex-benefit basis, designated as NOVB, DECB, and JANB, will begin on the 14th of November and end on the 29th of November, 27th of December, and 31st of January, respectively. The settlement dates for these ex-benefit contracts will occur shortly after their respective closing dates, with NOVB settling on the 3rd of December, DECB on the 31st of December, and JANB on the 4th of February.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), trades taking place in the shares of Nishat Chunian Power Limited in NOVB, DECB, and JANB contracts shall not be eligible for the payment of benefits and will be traded on an ex-benefit basis. Furthermore, the rollover period for the aforementioned security will span three trading days, from the 14th to the 18th of November.

PSX has reserved the right to alter or vary the above dates or to reduce or extend the contracts if any necessity arises. All concerned are requested to note the revised trading and settlement schedule as per the updated announcements.
