Islamabad: Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) has issued a revised public offer to acquire up to 151,052,013 ordinary shares of Agritech Limited, according to official information. The announcement, made in compliance with Sections 96 and 131 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Regulation 5.6.1 of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Regulations, marks a significant move in FFC's strategy to gain control of Agritech Limited.
The revised offer was published in two major newspapers, The Nation and Nawa-e-Waqt, under the management of Integrated Equities Limited, the manager to the offer. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the decision follows an earlier communication to the PSX dated November 18, 2024, in which the initial intentions were disclosed.
The acquisition, governed by the Securities Act, 2015, and the Listed Companies (Substantial Acquisition of Voting Shares and Takeovers) Regulations, 2017, seeks to consolidate FFC's presence in the market. The PSX was requested to inform the Trading Rights Entitlement Certificate (TREC) holders about the revised offer.
The process highlights FFC's commitment to expanding its market influence through strategic acquisitions, as evidenced by the detailed procedural compliance and public dissemination of information.
