Kohinoor Textile Mills Ltd Reports Un-Audited Financial Results, No Dividend Declared

Lahore: Kohinoor Textile Mills Ltd has released its un-audited financial results for the period ended December 31, 2024. On February 20, 2025, the Board of Directors convened a meeting at the company’s registered office in Lahore, conducted through video conferencing, to discuss and approve the financial statements for the half-year period. During this meeting, the Board decided not to declare any cash dividend, bonus shares, right shares, or any other form of corporate entitlement.

The consolidated financial statements provide a detailed overview of the company’s equity changes and financial position. Notably, the total equity attributable to the equity holders of the holding company as of December 31, 2024, stood at 65.88 billion. The profit for the period under review was 10.68 billion, with a total comprehensive income of 11.30 billion.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Kohinoor Textile Mills Ltd’s capital reserves included significant transactions such as the transfer from revenue reserves to capital reserves amounting to 2.57 billion. The company also reported a surplus on the revaluation of investment property, contributing to the equity balance.

The cash flow statement revealed a net cash outflow from operating activities amounting to 1.69 billion, primarily due to finance costs and taxes paid. In contrast, the company experienced a net cash outflow of 35.75 billion from investing activities, mainly attributed to capital expenditures and short-term investments. Conversely, the financing activities generated a net cash inflow of 37.55 billion, supported by short-term borrowings.

As of the end of the reporting period, Kohinoor Textile Mills Ltd reported cash and cash equivalents amounting to 325.35 million, an increase from 219.05 million at the beginning of the period. Despite the complex financial landscape, the company's strategic financial management allowed it to maintain a stable cash flow, ensuring liquidity in the face of significant outflows in investing activities.
