Additionally, the unrealized gain on the re-measurement of investments at fair value through profit or loss surged to 85.80 million rupees, a significant increase from 21.77 million rupees in the previous year. The change in the fair value of investment properties contributed 86.33 million rupees, slightly up from 65.28 million rupees in the prior year.
Despite operating and administrative expenses being contained at 6.91 million rupees, the company registered an operating profit of 79.42 million rupees, up from the 58.95 million rupees recorded in the previous year. However, the finance cost remained a substantial burden, amounting to 185.75 million rupees, though slightly reduced compared to the 214.28 million rupees incurred in the previous year.
The overall financial performance resulted in a loss before taxation of 106.17 million rupees, an improvement from the 156.18 million rupees loss reported in the same period last year. The loss after taxation stood at 106.17 million rupees, with a basic and diluted loss per share of 0.34 rupees, marginally better than the 0.49 rupees reported previously.
