Supernet Limited Reports Increased Profits Despite Lower Standalone Revenue

Karachi: Supernet Limited has announced its financial results for the period ending March 31, 2025, revealing an increase in profit before tax despite a marginal decline in standalone revenue. On a consolidated basis, the company reported a topline revenue of Rs. 6.44 billion, an increase from Rs. 6.17 billion in the previous corresponding period. This resulted in a gross profit of Rs. 1.31 billion, up from Rs. 1.26 billion, marking a 4% growth attributed to the synergy effect of its group companies.

The profit before tax for the period stood at Rs. 627 million, compared to Rs. 524 million in the same period last year. Earnings per share also saw an increase, reaching Rs. 3.02 from Rs. 2.93. However, on a standalone basis, the company experienced a slight decrease in top line revenue, reporting Rs. 5.11 billion against Rs. 5.16 billion from the prior year. The gross profit for the standalone operations was Rs. 973 million, slightly down from Rs. 999 million.

Despite these fluctuations, Supernet Limited posted a profit after taxation of Rs. 224 million, improving from Rs. 221 million previously. The earnings per share on a standalone basis stood at Rs. 1.81, up from Rs. 1.79. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company’s financial performance reflects its strategic focus on reducing administrative and operating expenses along with effective tax management.

The company remains optimistic about its future, despite macroeconomic challenges and increasing business costs. It plans to explore opportunities in cybersecurity and infrastructure solutions, areas identified as having strong profit potential. This strategic direction is aimed at strengthening its revenue streams and ensuring sustainable growth, with a continued emphasis on customer satisfaction.
