Karachi: The Pakistan General Insurance Company Limited (PGI) has reported a significant revival in its operations for the financial year ending December 31, 2024. After a prolonged period of inactivity, the company, under new leadership and supported by its Board of Directors, has successfully reestablished its presence in the insurance industry in Pakistan.

The company achieved a Gross Written Premium of Rs. 23.972 million, alongside a net insurance premium of Rs. 7.539 million and rental income totaling Rs. 3.407 million. PGI recorded a profit after tax amounting to Rs. 31.804 million. This financial performance indicates a promising start towards sustainability in a competitive market.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), PGI has adopted strategic measures to enhance governance practices, modernize its underwriting framework, and strengthen claims management through the support of a new professional management team. These actions are aimed at ensuring prudence, customer trust, and the creation of long-term value.
