Habib Bank Limited Announces First Interim Cash Dividend for 2025

Karachi: Habib Bank Limited has announced the credit of its First Interim Cash Dividend D-2025 (I) for shareholders, following a board meeting held on April 25, 2025. The dividend, valued at Rs 4.50 per share or 45%, pertains to the bank’s financial performance for the first quarter ending March 31, 2025. The shareholders eligible for this dividend were those whose names appeared in the records at the close of business on May 6, 2025.

The bank has credited the interim cash dividend to shareholders who provided valid International Bank Account Numbers (IBAN) up to May 13, 2025. Information regarding the shares held, total cash dividend amount, deductions for tax or Zakat, and the net credited amount is accessible in the Centralized Cash Dividend Register (CCDR), as legally mandated.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), shareholders can access these details electronically from the CCDR for record maintenance or tax filing purposes by registering for eDividend. However, dividend payments have been withheld for shareholders who have not submitted valid IBAN details. These shareholders are urged to communicate their IBAN information, along with a valid copy of their CNIC, to the bank’s share registrar or the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited, as applicable.

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan has directed all physical shareholders to provide mandatory information such as CNIC numbers, addresses, email contacts, and IBANs to the bank’s share registrar to prevent legal non-compliance or future inconveniences. Additionally, under Section 72 (2) of the Companies Act, 2017, shareholders are advised to convert physical shares into scripless form, a transition required by law to be completed within four years of the Act's commencement.
