Pakistan General Insurance Company Limited Elects New Board of Directors Amidst Key Resolutions

Multan: The Pakistan General Insurance Company Limited, during its Annual General Meeting held on May 28, 2025, in Multan, Punjab, approved several significant resolutions, including the election of a new board of directors.

The meeting, marking the company's 77th annual gathering, confirmed the minutes from the previous AGM held on May 28, 2024. Shareholders reviewed and adopted the audited financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2024, alongside the Directors', Auditors', and Chairman's Review reports.

In accordance with the Companies Act, 2017, and Listed Companies (Code of Corporate Governance) Regulations, 2019, M/s Mushtaq & Co., Chartered Accountants, were appointed as the company's external auditors. They will serve from the conclusion of this AGM until the next AGM in 2026, with remuneration to be determined by the Board of Directors and Statutory Auditors.

The meeting also included the election of new directors, in line with Section 159(4) of the Companies Act, 2017. The elected directors, set to serve a three-year term starting May 28, 2025, are Muhammad Shahzad Habib, Abrar Ahmed Cheema, Abdul Haseeb Fakih, Ali Shahzad, Chaudhry Muhammad Naeem, Muhammad Asad Jaweed, and Nuzhat Ul Zahra. A video link facility was provided to ensure broader participation.
