Karachi: The Apna Microfinance Bank Limited has announced the election of seven directors, all unopposed, during its Extra-Ordinary General Meeting held on June 18, 2025. This development comes as the bank aligns with the requirements set forth in Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.6.1(a) of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Regulations.
The newly elected directors will serve a term of three years under the provisions of the Companies Act, 2017. The board will be comprised of Mr. Muhammad Akram Shahid, Mr. Imad Mohammad Tahir, Mr. Shahid Hassan, and Mr. Mohammad Asghar, all of whom are non-executive directors. Independent directors, Mr. Abdul Aziz Khan and Ms. Sultana Naheed, have also been elected, alongside Mr. Nazish Ali, who will serve as an executive director.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the election process proceeded without contest, indicating a smooth transition and continuity in the bank's governance.
