Trading Suspension of Dewan Khalid Textile Mills Limited Shares Extended

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced the continuation of the suspension of trading in the shares of M/s. Dewan Khalid Textile Mills Limited. This decision follows the company's ongoing non-compliance with multiple clauses of the PSX Regulations. As of June 25, 2025, the suspension will be extended for an additional period of 60 days, starting June 26, 2025.

The initial suspension, detailed in PSX Notice No.PSX/N-420 dated April 25, 2025, was due to the company's failure to address various compliance issues. These include the suspension of commercial production and business operations in its principal line of business. The company has also failed to hold its Annual General Meetings and submit its annual audited accounts. Furthermore, the company has not paid its dues to the Exchange, and its statutory auditor has issued an adverse opinion in the audit report. Additionally, a winding-up petition against the company has been ordered by the Commission, with creditors also filing similar petitions in court.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these ongoing issues have necessitated the continuation of the trading suspension. The PSX is exercising its powers under Sub-Section (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, and clause 5.11 of the PSX Regulations to ensure compliance and protect market integrity.

The designated market category for the company remains affected as stakeholders await resolution of these compliance issues. The suspension will remain in effect until the company rectifies the causes of suspension or the additional 60-day period concludes.
