Five Major Companies Report Loss of Share Certificates on Pakistan Stock Exchange

Karachi: In a significant development on July 4, 2025, several prominent companies listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) have reported the loss or misplacement of their share certificates. The affected companies include Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, National Bank of Pakistan, Sui Southern Gas Company Limited, Faysal Bank Limited, and Habib Bank Limited.

The missing certificates, along with corresponding verified and unverified transfer deeds, were disclosed in a formal announcement to the PSX. The exchange has advised its members not to engage in transactions involving these share certificates until further notice.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), if no objections are raised within a seven-day period following the notice, the companies will proceed to issue duplicate share certificates to the shareholders concerned.
