Arif Habib Corporation Consortium Pre-Qualified for Pakistan International Airlines Privatisation Process

Karachi: Arif Habib Corporation Limited (AHCL), a prominent investment holding company, has been pre-qualified to participate in the privatisation process of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL). The announcement follows the submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) and Statement of Qualification (SOQ) by AHCL, acting as the Lead Member of a consortium, to the Privatisation Commission of Pakistan.

The consortium, which includes Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited, City Schools (Private) Limited, and Lake City Holdings (Private) Limited, was among four parties deemed eligible to advance in the competitive bidding process. This selection process, governed by Press Release No. 11/2025 from the Privatisation Commission, marks a significant milestone for AHCL and its partners as they proceed to the buy-side due diligence phase.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the pre-qualification of AHCL's consortium is a pivotal step in the transparent privatisation process of PIACL. The consortium's ongoing involvement will depend on the results of the due diligence exercise and further instructions from AHCL's Board of Directors.

AHCL has affirmed its commitment to adhering to confidentiality obligations while ensuring timely disclosure of any material and price-sensitive information to the Commission and the Exchange, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. This approach underscores AHCL's dedication to maintaining compliance throughout the privatisation proceedings.
