Karachi: The certificates of First Fidelity Leasing Modaraba (FFLM) have recently experienced a very large or significant move in price, prompting inquiries into the factors behind this movement. According to a communication with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) dated July 09, 2025, the management of First Fidelity Leasing Modaraba stated that they are not aware of any material developments or events that could have contributed to the unusual trading activity observed in the Modaraba’s certificates.
The management has confirmed that there has been no recent participation by individuals associated with the Directors or Promoters of FFLM in the sale or purchase of its certificates. Despite this, the company is actively engaged in efforts to recover outstanding dues from Enplan (Pvt.) Limited. Legal proceedings related to these recoveries are pending before the Modaraba Tribunal and the Lahore High Court, with arguments in an advanced stage, though the cases remain sub judice.
In compliance with regulatory requirements, FFLM is pursuing the induction of Rs 50.00 million as additional equity, a move aimed at bolstering its financial position. The company emphasizes its commitment to adhere to all regulatory obligations, including the timely communication of material information to the PSX.
