Trading Suspension of Mubarak Textile Mills Limited to Continue Amid Non-Compliance Issues

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) announced on July 25, 2025, that the suspension of trading in the shares of Mubarak Textile Mills Limited will remain in effect. This decision follows a PSX notice dated May 27, 2025, and is due to unresolved compliance issues related to the company's operations and financial reporting.

Mubarak Textile Mills Limited has yet to address the causes for the suspension, which include halted commercial production in its main business line and an adverse opinion from the statutory auditor on the company’s financial statements. Furthermore, a winding-up petition has been filed against the company by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

The trading suspension will continue until the company rectifies these issues or for an additional period of 60 days starting July 27, 2025. This action is conducted under the authority granted to the Exchange by Sub-Section (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, and clause 5.11 of the PSX Regulations.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the ongoing suspension reflects the Exchange’s commitment to upholding regulatory standards and protecting investor interests in the market category.
