Karachi: Macter International Limited has announced a final notice to its shareholders regarding unclaimed dividends and shares, which have remained unclaimed for a period exceeding three years. The company has initiated this process under the provisions of the Companies Act, 2017, and in accordance with Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited Regulations.
The notice, set to be published on July 31, 2025, will appear in two newspapers, the "Business Recorder" and "Dunya," catering to both English and Urdu readership. The detailed information can also be found on the company's official website. This step is part of a regulatory requirement obligating companies to inform their shareholders of any unpaid dividends or unclaimed shares.
Earlier, Macter International Limited had sent individual notices to shareholders at their last known addresses, requesting them to submit claims for their unclaimed dividends and shares. However, the company reports that no responses have been received to date. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company is now urging shareholders to lodge their claims within the next 90 days.
Should no claims be made within this period, Macter International Limited will proceed to transfer the unclaimed funds to the Federal Government. This action complies with the provisions outlined in sub-section (2) of section 244 of the Companies Act, 2017. The shareholders are advised to contact the company's Registered Office or Shares Registrar to submit their claims promptly.
The notice serves as a final reminder to shareholders, emphasizing the importance of addressing the matter within the stipulated timeframe to avoid the forfeiture of their unclaimed assets.
