Mughal Iron and Steel Announces Book Closure for Sukuk Certificate Payments

Karachi: Mughal Iron and Steel Industries Limited has announced a book closure period in preparation for the upcoming payments related to its Sukuk Certificates - I, as detailed in a notice issued on August 15, 2025. The closure is set to facilitate the 18th rental and 14th principal payments scheduled for September 2, 2025.

The company's transfer books will remain closed to determine entitlement from August 27 to September 2, 2025, inclusive of both dates. This is aimed at ensuring the accurate processing of payments to sukuk holders. Transactions recorded within the Central Depository System (CDS) and received by the Share Registrar, M/S THK Associates (Private) Limited in Karachi, by the close of business on August 26, 2025, will be eligible for the upcoming payments.

Sukuk holders are advised to update their International Bank Account Number (IBAN) details by August 26, 2025, to avoid any disruptions in receiving their payments. Additionally, the profit from these investments is subject to income tax deductions under Section 151 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001. Holders wishing to benefit from tax exemptions are required to submit valid Income Tax Exemption Certificates to the share registrar by the same deadline.
