Invest Capital Investment Bank Reports Decline in Quarterly Profits

Lahore: Invest Capital Investment Bank Limited announced its un-audited financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, revealing a significant decrease in profit compared to the same period last year. The Board of Directors, in a meeting held on October 24 at the company's head office, decided against declaring any cash dividends, bonus shares, or rights shares for the period.

The financial statements highlighted total assets amounting to 1.60 billion rupees, an increase from 1.57 billion rupees reported at the end of June 2025. The rise in assets was primarily attributed to an increase in net investment in finance leases, which grew to 311.57 million rupees from 235.33 million rupees. Conversely, long-term loans decreased to 432.69 million rupees from 470.06 million rupees.

Current assets slightly decreased to 650.05 million rupees from 653.59 million rupees, with notable declines in investments in treasury bills and bank balances. Equity and liabilities stood at 1.60 billion rupees, with the company's share capital and reserves totaling 781.59 million rupees, up from 761.19 million rupees. Non-current liabilities increased to 404.22 million rupees, driven by higher security deposits from clients.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's income from leasing operations nearly doubled to 14.45 million rupees from 6.97 million rupees. However, overall income decreased to 26.98 million rupees from 39.68 million rupees, largely due to lower income from finances and bank deposits. The company also reported a net loss on financial assets, with an unrealized loss of 18.14 million rupees for the quarter.

Expenses decreased to 7.80 million rupees from 8.10 million rupees, leading to a profit before taxation of 21.90 million rupees, down from 36.34 million rupees in the previous year. After accounting for a 1.50 million rupee provision for taxation, the profit for the quarter stood at 20.40 million rupees, compared to 33.84 million rupees in the third quarter of 2024. This represents a very large or significant move in the company's profitability.

Earnings per share declined to 0.072 rupees from 0.119 rupees in the same quarter last year. The cash flow statement revealed net cash generated from operations at 25.96 million rupees, compared to 31.43 million rupees in the previous period.

The designated market category for Invest Capital Investment Bank Limited remains unchanged, with the company continuing to focus on its core operations amidst fluctuating market conditions.
