Karachi: Thal Limited has announced a significant milestone with the completion of the 330MW ThalNova Power Thar project as of October 31, 2025. This advancement follows the project’s Commercial Operations Date, which was successfully reached on February 17, 2023. The power plant, a mine mouth coal-fired independent power producer (IPP) in Thar, is prioritized under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Thal Limited holds a 26% stake in the ThalNova Power Thar project through its wholly owned subsidiary, Thal Power (Private) Limited. The declaration of the Project Completion Date is pivotal for the company, as it enables the possibility of dividend distribution to shareholders, contingent upon the availability of distributable profits and the completion of procedural approvals.
