Lahore: Waves Home Appliances Limited, a prominent name in the consumer appliances sector, reported a notable increase in its financial performance for the first nine months of 2025. The company, which is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, has shown a significant move in its profit margins and earnings figures.
The company, originally a part of Waves Corporation Limited until its demerger in 2022, leads the market in the production of deep freezers, leveraging half a century of expertise. According to the latest financial disclosures, Waves Home Appliances achieved gross sales of 4.02 billion Pakistani Rupees for the nine-month period ending in September 2025, a slight decrease from the annual figure of 4.08 billion in 2024. The net sales for the same period stood at 2.79 billion, compared to 3.17 billion in full-year 2024.
Cost management has been pivotal, with the cost of sales recorded at 2.04 billion, resulting in a gross profit of 758 million for the nine-month period. The company’s marketing, selling, and distribution expenses were contained at 170 million, while administrative expenses were reported at 179 million. Despite other expenses totaling 78 million, Waves Home Appliances managed to secure other income of 385 million, contributing to an operating profit of 716 million.
Finance costs were significant, amounting to 403 million, but the company still reported a profit before levies and income tax of 313 million. After accounting for levies and income tax expenses of 52 million, the profit for the period stood at 262 million, reflecting a big move compared to the previous fiscal year.
The company’s earnings per share (EPS) rose to 0.98 for the nine months, up from 0.57 for the full year of 2024. The gross margin was recorded at 27.1%, with an operating profit margin at 25.6% and a net margin of 9.4%.
