Karachi: Al-Noor Sugar Mills Limited has reported its financial results for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025, revealing a significant decline in profits compared to the previous year. The Board of Directors, in a meeting on December 31, 2025, announced a decision to distribute a final cash dividend of Rs. 4.00 per share, representing a 40% dividend payout.
The company’s annual sales stood at Rs. 17.92 billion, a decrease from Rs. 20.74 billion in the previous year. The gross profit also declined to Rs. 2.34 billion from Rs. 3.43 billion last year. Despite a reduction in finance costs from Rs. 1.84 billion to Rs. 992.16 million, the profit before levies and income tax fell to Rs. 321.43 million from Rs. 371.28 million in the preceding year. After accounting for taxation, the net profit for the year was Rs. 107.45 million, a turnaround from a net loss of Rs. 45.08 million in the previous fiscal year.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Al-Noor Sugar Mills’ earnings per share rose to Rs. 5.25, a notable improvement from the loss per share of Rs. 2.20 reported last year. The company’s distribution costs increased to Rs. 302.60 million from Rs. 221.70 million, while administrative expenses slightly decreased to Rs. 1.06 billion from Rs. 1.07 billion.
The Board of Directors recommended no bonus shares or right shares for the fiscal year, maintaining the status quo from the interim dividends and bonuses. The company also reported cash inflows from operating activities amounting to Rs. 2.20 billion, compared to a cash outflow of Rs. 2.01 billion in the prior year. Meanwhile, cash used in investing activities was Rs. 330.57 million, and financing activities generated Rs. 221.13 million.
The company’s Annual General Meeting is scheduled for January 28, 2026, in Karachi, with the shares transfer book closing from January 21 to January 28, 2026. The company’s financial position indicates total assets at Rs. 11.08 billion and equity and liabilities totaling Rs. 7.15 billion.
