Eight New Securities Added to Pakistan’s Cash Settled Futures Market

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced a significant update to its Cash Settled Futures (CSF) market, following a comprehensive quarterly review. This review, which concluded on June 30, 2026, has resulted in the inclusion of eight new securities, while 16 existing ones have been removed from the list of eligible securities.

Effective from the CSF-COCT-2026 contract, the newly added securities include AGP Limited, Attock Petroleum Limited, Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited, International Steels Limited, Kot Addu Power Company Limited, Loads Limited, Service Global Footwear Limited, and SPEL Limited. These companies will now be part of the CSF market, enabling investors to engage in futures trading contracts based on these securities.

Conversely, the securities that will no longer be part of the CSF market are Attock Cement Pakistan Limited, Askari Bank Limited, Azgard Nine Limited, Avanceon Limited, Big Bird Foods Limited, BankIslami Pakistan Limited, Bank Makramah Limited, Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited, Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited, Ghani Chemworld Limited, Gharibwal Cement Limited, Image Pakistan Limited, Javedan Corporation Limited, Meezan Bank Limited, Pace (Pakistan) Limited, and Power Cement Limited. Existing contracts such as CSF-CAUG-2026 and CSF-CSEP-2026 will remain available for trading until their respective maturities.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the review was conducted based on data from the past six months, adhering strictly to the criteria approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The PSX will announce the relevant trading schedules for these securities in due course.

The final list of eligible securities for the CSF market has been updated to include prominent names such as AGP Limited, Air Link Communication Limited, Attock Refinery Limited, and Bank Alfalah Limited, among others. The market participants have been advised to refer to 'Annexure B' for the complete list of eligible securities.

Market analysts and traders are likely to monitor these changes closely as they adjust their strategies to align with the new list of CSF-eligible securities. The updates are expected to influence trading patterns and investment decisions in the designated market category.
