Engro Fertilizers Limited Reports Interim Financial Results for First Half of 2026

Karachi: The Board of Directors of Engro Fertilizers Limited convened on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, to discuss and approve the company's un-audited financial results for the six months ending June 30, 2026. During the meeting, the board announced a cash dividend of Rs. 1.75 per share, translating to a 17.5% payout for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. This dividend is in addition to the previously distributed interim dividend of Rs. 2.00 per share, which constituted a 20% payout.

The company, however, did not declare any bonus shares or rights shares for this period. Furthermore, no additional entitlements or corporate actions were reported. The quarterly financial results have been attached as Annexure "A" & "B" for shareholder review.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the book closure for the company is scheduled from August 11, 2026, to August 12, 2026. Shareholders listed in the Register of Members by the close of business on August 10, 2026, will be eligible for the interim cash dividend. Transferees must ensure their details are updated with the company's share registrar, FAMCO Share Registration Services (Private) Limited, by the stipulated deadline.

An analysis of the financial statements reveals that Engro Fertilizers Limited achieved net sales of 2.43 million, while the cost of sales stood at 1.99 million. The company reported a gross profit of 435,256, with operating expenses totaling 123,582. The operating profit was calculated at 311,676. After accounting for finance costs and other charges, the profit before taxation and levy was recorded at 346,675. Following the levy of 58,941, the profit before taxation was 287,734, with no taxation reported. Consequently, the profit after taxation also equaled 287,734. The earnings per share, both basic and diluted, were reported at 6.45.
