Loss of Share Certificates Reported by CDC Share Registrar Services Limited: Advisory Issued to Exchange Members

Karachi: CDC Share Registrar Services Limited has reported the loss or misplacement of various share certificates from several companies, impacting shareholders and members of the exchange. The announcement was made in a report dated August 4, 2026, and involves multiple entities, including Faysal Bank Limited, Oil & Gas Development Company Limited, BankIslami Pakistan Limited, Arif Habib Limited, GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan Limited, and Habib Bank Limited.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), members of the exchange have been advised not to engage in transactions involving the affected share certificates. The companies have outlined a procedure to issue duplicate certificates if no objections are received within seven days from the date of notice.

In particular, Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) has reported the loss of 12,880 shares linked to deceased shareholder Kamran Khan. The distinctive numbers for these shares range from 42225124 to 42238003.

Similarly, Allied Bank Limited (ABL) has disclosed the loss of 208 shares related to deceased shareholder Abdul Ghaffar Chandio. The distinctive numbers for these shares span various ranges, including 514239239 to 514239265 and 947315280 to 947315307, among others.

Pakistan Cables Limited (PCAL) has also reported the loss of 590 shares pertaining to deceased shareholder Mukhtar Begum, with distinctive numbers ranging from 2819720 to 2819751 and 49554520 to 49554571, among others.

The companies involved have emphasized the urgency of the situation by setting a deadline for objections, after which they will proceed with issuing duplicate share certificates to the concerned shareholders. Exchange members and stakeholders are urged to take heed of the advisory and refrain from dealing with the listed certificates until further notice.
