Karachi: Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) has announced a new appointment to its Board of Directors, marking a significant change in its leadership structure. Effective from August 12, 2026, Mr. Abdul Rasheed Jokhio, Director General (Gas) from the Petroleum Division, has been co-opted as an Ex-Officio Director. This appointment comes following a nomination by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division).
Mr. Jokhio replaces Mr. Mirza Nasiruddin Mashhood Ahmad on the board, a move that reflects the Ministry's influence and involvement in the strategic governance of the energy sector. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the appointment aligns with the company's ongoing efforts to enhance its governance framework and strategic oversight.
