AL Habib Asset Management Reports Mixed Financial Results for 2026

Karachi: AL Habib Asset Management Limited (AHAM) has disclosed its financial performance for the year concluding on June 30, 2026, following a board meeting held on August 21, 2025. The results reflect a varied financial landscape across the AL Habib Cash Fund, Money Market Fund, Income Fund, and Asset Allocation Fund.

For the AL Habib Cash Fund, the net income for the year after taxation stood at 7.49 billion rupees, marking a decrease from the previous year's 9.69 billion rupees. Total income reached 8.21 billion rupees, down from 10.93 billion rupees. This decline is attributed to a significant loss of 7.55 million rupees on the sale of investments, reversing a previous gain of 162.56 million rupees. Despite the decrease, the fund managed to maintain an accounting income available for distribution, excluding capital gains, of 2.61 billion rupees.

Total income surged to 8.50 billion rupees from 4.70 billion rupees, driven by increased income from government securities, which rose to 6.68 billion rupees. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this represents a very large or significant move with a growth rate of over 88% in income from government securities alone. The fund's expenses also increased to 732.48 million rupees from 507.99 million rupees.

The AL Habib Income Fund reported a net income for the year after taxation of 2.32 billion rupees, up from 1.67 billion rupees. However, a realized loss of 45.62 million rupees on the sale of investments was recorded, contrasting with a previous gain of 141.34 million rupees.

Lastly, the AL Habib Asset Allocation Fund showed an increase in net income after taxation to 252.14 million rupees, up from 132.59 million rupees. The fund's total income more than doubled to 291.57 million rupees, primarily due to a substantial increase in dividend income and realized gains on the sale of investments, amounting to 137.55 million rupees.

These results from AHAM reflect varying yet significant financial shifts within its funds for the year, underscoring the ongoing market dynamics and investment strategies employed by the company.
