Karachi: Askari Bank Limited has announced the successful electronic credit of its second interim cash dividend for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026. The dividend, set at Rs. 2.0 per share, equates to a 20 percent distribution to shareholders who furnished valid International Bank Account Numbers (IBAN) and Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC). The report was confirmed on August 24, 2026, following the board of directors' approval in their meeting on July 31, 2026.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the bank has complied with the Companies Act, 2017, and the Companies (Distribution of Dividends) Regulations, 2017, by withholding dividends from shareholders lacking complete bank details. Shareholders are urged to ensure the submission of complete bank information, including a 24-digit IBAN, to facilitate the electronic transfer of dividends.
In a notice slated for publication on August 25, 2026, Askari Bank reiterated the importance of accessing the Centralized Cash Dividend Register via the Central Depository Company of Pakistan's eServices Web Portal. This platform allows shareholders to verify their dividend status, including any tax deductions and net cash amounts credited.
The bank has also advised shareholders with physical shareholdings to convert their shares into scripless form, in compliance with section 72(2) of the Companies Act, 2017, and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan's notification. This conversion aims to streamline the dividend distribution process and ensure timely payments.
Shareholders are encouraged to visit the bank's website or contact the CDC Share Registrar Services Limited for further assistance and to ensure adherence to the bank's procedural requirements for dividend receipt.
