Fauji Foods Limited Reports Record Revenue Amid Economic Challenges

Karachi: On August 28, 2026, Fauji Foods Limited (FFL) released its Directors' Report alongside unaudited condensed interim financial statements for the half-year ending June 30, 2026, highlighting a period of notable growth despite complex economic conditions.

Pakistan's consumer goods sector, particularly food and dairy, remains promising even as global economic volatility persists. FFL has effectively leveraged its extensive distribution network and diverse product offerings to reinforce its position as a market leader. The company's performance comes amid significant macroeconomic challenges in Pakistan, including increased fuel and energy costs due to the ongoing Middle East conflict, which has driven petrol prices to PKR 458.41 per liter and diesel to PKR 520.35 per liter—a substantial increase of over 80% to 100%. Additionally, LNG import costs and global supply chain disruptions have intensified, leading to shortages of essential raw materials and elevated transportation expenses.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), FFL reported a half-yearly revenue of PKR 16.77 billion, marking a 12.6% increase over the same period last year (SPLY). This revenue achievement stands as an all-time high for the company, underscoring its resilience in a challenging economic climate. The company's gross margin expanded by 3.7%, even as input costs were pressured by the geopolitical situation in the Middle East. Furthermore, FFL posted an operating profit of PKR 834 million, with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) reaching PKR 1,245 million and a profit after tax (PAT) of PKR 560 million.

FFL's strategic focus on margin-accretive growth and cost efficiency, articulated through key strategic pillars, has been crucial to its sustained performance. High-value revenue growth was achieved, with net revenue increasing by 12.6% over SPLY, driven by a focus on premium products. Despite a decline in the UHT Milk category, the company increased its value by 6.0% over SPLY, highlighting its premium market positioning.

Operational excellence, particularly in high-margin products and cost optimization, contributed to a 3.2% improvement in absolute gross profit margin compared to SPLY. The high-margin cereals business and investment in solar and biomass projects have been pivotal in insulating the company from rising energy costs.

FFL's commitment to capability enhancement is evident in its investment in talent acquisition and performance management, resulting in a three-fold increase in employee engagement scores. This cultural shift has equipped the company with the leadership and drive needed to maintain its growth momentum.
