Lucky Cement Reports Big Rise in Annual Profit Amid Asset Growth

Karachi: Lucky Cement Limited, a prominent player in the building materials market category, has reported a significant increase in annual profit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, according to its recently published annual report dated September 4, 2026. The company's profit after taxation surged to PKR 46.63 billion from PKR 33.09 billion in the previous year, marking a very large move of 41%.

The report highlights that Lucky Cement's total assets increased to PKR 301.41 billion, up from PKR 266.75 billion in 2025. This growth is attributed to both non-current and current assets. Non-current assets rose to PKR 174.37 billion, with property, plant, and equipment accounting for PKR 114.85 billion, compared to PKR 107.20 billion in the prior year. Current assets also saw an increase, reaching PKR 127.04 billion from PKR 100.76 billion.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's equity, represented by share capital and reserves, climbed to PKR 216.64 billion from PKR 175.91 billion, reflecting the company's robust financial health.

The report further outlines the company's revenue performance, with gross revenue reaching PKR 192.86 billion, up from PKR 174.30 billion, while net revenue improved to PKR 136.53 billion from PKR 124.51 billion. Gross profit also increased, standing at PKR 51.17 billion compared to PKR 42.68 billion last year.

Despite the rise in distribution costs and administrative expenses, which amounted to PKR 8.99 billion and PKR 2.59 billion respectively, the company successfully managed its finance costs, reducing them to PKR 989.08 million from PKR 1.37 billion. Other expenses, however, rose to PKR 5.68 billion from PKR 3.06 billion.

Lucky Cement's earnings per share saw a notable increase, registering at PKR 31.83, compared to PKR 22.59 in the previous year, further reinforcing the company's strong performance in the fiscal year 2026.
