Mari Energies Limited Announces Commissioning of Lundali-1 Well in Sindh Province

Karachi: Mari Energies Limited has announced the successful commissioning of the Lundali-1 Well in the Sukhpur-II Block, Sindh Province. The joint venture responsible for this achievement includes Prime Global Energies Limited, Mari Energies Limited, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, and Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company Limited. The completion of this project marks a significant milestone in bolstering Pakistan's energy resources.

The joint venture, operating under the Sukhpur-II (Block 2568-23) Petroleum Concession Agreement and Exploration License, began its exploration and development activities following the grant of the license on December 02, 2025. The Lundali-1 Well achieved First Gas on September 06, 2026, and is currently producing 10 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) of gas at a wellhead pressure of 2,000 psi. This output is being supplied to the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC).

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Mari Energies Limited, holding a 30% working interest in the joint venture, plays a critical role in this energy project. The other partners, including Prime Global Energies Limited with a 25% working interest, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited also with 30%, and Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company Limited with 15%, collectively contribute to the project's progress.

The successful commissioning of the Lundali-1 Well underscores the joint venture's dedication to enhancing Pakistan's energy security through the development of domestic hydrocarbon resources. This project is part of ongoing efforts to explore and develop local energy resources to meet the country's growing demands.
